Stephen Hemmert Wines are made in Agua Dulce, California. Each vintage is produced in small batches, making it unique and rare. The ultimate goal is to produce unique varietals and amazing wines from various sources in California.
Stephen together with his partner and fiancée Nicole St. Julian created what is now the Stephen Hemmert Wines brand in 2014. Together they are expanding the brand yet keeping the high quality, small lot philosophy intact.
Stephen started making wine in 1997 for home consumption. His first entries into contests earned him a silver in both national and international competitions. Years later, prompted by friends and lovers of his wine, he connected with a local restaurant owner and grower of the first grapes planted in Agua Dulce and was responsible for the creation and release of private label wines for the restaurant. In 2010 Stephen produced his first wine from his 425 head trained "Oasis" estate grown Zinfandel.
