This Viognier originates from Pomar Junction Vineyard, located in Paso Robles, California. The vineyard receives significant sun exposure but also many mornings of heavy fog due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean. The variance in temperature and the calcareous soil imparts
a minerality and depth to the wine that is rarely found. The 2016 has slightly brighter acidity than the ‘15 without losing the fruit.
This Viognier, exhibits delicate, sensual aromatics, and tropical, peach and honeysuckle flavors to the palate. This wine pairs perfectly with shellfish and many seafood, and poultry dishes.
